I absolutely dread shaving my legs. I hate everything about it: Carving out the time to do it, finding the perfect razor, painstakingly applying shaving cream and shaving line by line — only to abandon that entirely, do a dry shave, and then have instant regrets when the angry red razor bumps appear.
It’s. The. Worst.
And I know what some of you are thinking: “Well, you don’t have to shave your legs.” And I appreciate that, but I do ultimately feel more confident (and less itchy!) when I finally get around to shaving them.
My most recent routine had been to use a standard razor, but when Heidi Klum backed this luxury electric shaver kit that you can try out risk-free for 30 days, I said, “Sign me up!” Earlier this year, Klum announced her partnership with PosheEra. “It’s a magic wand that makesshavingso much easier,” the supermodeltoldWWD.
PosheEra Effortless Shave Kit
And I have to agree with the busy mom of three. The fact that this electric shaver with multiple heads and an ergonomic wand that helps you reach your ankles without having to really bend over is a game-changer. The PosheEra can be used wet or dry, and guarantees a smooth shave without any nicks.
Klum also toldWWDthat she even uses the PosheEra shaver “in bed watching TV, as it’s mess-free, or my second favorite place, the bathtub.” “When you clip off the head from the extender, it can easily fit in your handbag for shaving on the go,” she continued.
I can definitely speak to taking it on the go. I took one of the heads on vacation with me and had no problem taking it through TSA. Though it took up more space than a manual shaver, it was worth. it. and will be a go-to travel companion going forward. The [indeed mess-free] solution meant I could easily shave in the hotel room while my friend used the bathroom. Unlike other electric shavers that fling tiny hairs everywhere, the PosheEra keeps the hair trapped inside until you clean out the head(s) with the included brushes.
Not only did I love the results and convenience, but the rechargeable device made shaving my legs (and elsewhere) a more enjoyable experience. Something that used to fill me with so much anticipatory angst now has a meditative-like quality. There’s no need to have a rigid routine of moving in straight lines up your legs. You can roam around with the PosheEra, and I found the best results came when I moved it about in slow, small circles.
Plus, I went nearly three weeks before I had to recharge my shaver. And by “had” to, I mean it was at 22 percent, and the thought of having it dip below 20 percent made my skin crawl. So I plugged the rechargeable product in for the first time and was back at 100 percent in under five minutes (cue sigh of relief!).
If it all sounds too good to be true, I understand. There was a bit of a learning curve, and my first shave definitely left something to be desired. But once I got over my fear of using too much pressure and getting cut, I realized just how much I had been missing out on by sticking with a standard razor for so long.
